?
The Fortimail system will send you an email if it quarantines any messages for your email account. These email messages are sent out every 2hrs between 8am to 6pm and at midnight, every day. The system will only send email notices for a quarantined email message once. Quarantined emails are kept for 14 days if they are not released or deleted by the user.
The email shows you the following columns in the message table
Date - The date the message was received by the Fortimail From - The email address and / or name that appears on the email Subject - The subject line of the received email Web Actions - Release / Delete Email Actions - Release / Delete
Below the table you also have the options to "Delete all messages" via Web or Email Actions.
The final option under Other allows you "To view your entire quarantine inbox or manage your preferences"
If you wish to release a message to your email inbox, you can click on the "Release" link next to the message in the table or you can click on the option to view your entire quarantine and then use the instructions at the top of this page. If you click the Web Release, a web brower will open and you will see a message saying that the action has completed. Alternatively, if you click on the Email Release, an email message will open with a special subject line, and you just need to click send and the email will be released once the email is received by the Fortimail system.
If the email messages in the table are spam that you do not want to receive, click the Delete link next to the message in the table. If you click the Web Delete, a web brower will open and you will see a message saying that the action has completed. Alternatively, if you click on the Email Delete, an email message will open with a special subject line, and you just need to click send and the email will be deleted once the email is received by the Fortimail system.
