How to manage MySQL Databases
If you are not already logged into your Control Panel Dashboard follow the instructions here

From the Control Panel Dashboard, click on the Sites button.
From the left menu, click on the Database Users link.
Click Add new User and fill in the Database user and password fields and click save. Please note that your
Control Panel customer number will be prefixed to the database user. Eg; If I entered myuser for the
database user, the system will create a database user called c257myuser as my customer number is 257.
This is done automatically, you do not need to enter your customer number.
Next Click Databases from the left hand menu.
Click on Add new Database and fill in the form fields.
Site - Select your website from the drop down list.
Type - This will always be MySQL
Database name - Enter the name you want to call your database.
Database user - Select the database user you want to use from the drop down list.
Read-only database user - Optionally select a user from the drop down list who will only have read access to the db.
Normally this will be left blank.
Database charset - Select the character set you want to use. Normally this is DB-Default
Remote Access - If you wish to access the database from a remote client, tick this option and fill in the Remote
Access IP's field below. Normally you will leave this option blank.
Active - Check this box to make the database active.
Please note that your Control Panel customer number will be prefixed to the database name. Eg; If I entered myDB for the database name, the system will create a database called c257myDB as my customer number is 257. This is done automatically, you do not need to enter your customer number.
Click Save.
In a couple of minutes your database will be created and will be ready for use. Click image for larger view.
This shows us that our database status is Active, has been created on the server scrappydoo.2000cn.com.au, is for the website egami-image.com and the database user is called c257myuser and the database name is c257myDB.
On the far right of the image, there are 3 icons. The icon on the left if clicked will take you to the locally installed instance of phpMyAdmin.? The picture of the spanner in the middle will allow you to edit the database settings that you just entered, and the red circle with the white line in the centre will delete the selected database.
