Password Protecting Directories
From the Sites Menu of the Control Panel, click on the Protected Folders link in the left hand menu.
Click the Add new Folder button.
Select the website where you want to create the protected folder from the drop down menu.
In the path, type in the path of the directory you want to be password protected. This is relative
to the document root where your website files are kept. This directory must already exist, so make
sure you create the directory before you begin this process.
Click Save.
In the left hand menu, click the Protected Folder Users link.
Click the Add new Folder User button.
Select the Folder you want to create a User for from the Folder drop down menu.
Enter a username into the Username field.
Type the password into the password and repeat password fields.
Click Save.
Within a few minutes, your changes will take effect
Now where you go to that url, you get prompted for your credentials.
If you authenticate successfully, you will be allowed to view the folder.
If you enter incorrect details, you will not be able to view the directory.
