Microsot Outlook 2003 Email Configuration

Below you will find instructions on how to configure Microsoft Outlook 2003 to access your email account with us.

Step 1.

Open Outlook 2003 from the Start Menu and once open click on Tools then click on Email Accounts.

Step 2.

Next check the option "Add a new e-mail account" and click next.

Step 3.

Choose either POP3 or IMAP and click next

Step 4.

Fill in your User Information. Be sure to use your email address as the User Name and for the POP3 or IMAP server, use pop.2000cn.com.au and for the SMTP server use either filter.spamfreemail.com.au or smtp.2000cn.com.au. When done, click on the "More Settings" button.

Step 5.

If you like, you can change the display name and organisation information on the General tab. This is Optional and will have no effect on how your email client connects to the server. Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab.

Step 6.

Check the option "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and make sure the option "Use same settings as incoming server" is selected. Click on the Advanced tab.

Step 7.

Change the 25 in the Outgoing server (SMTP) to 587 and check the option 'This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". This is required as some internet providers block port 25 to prevent spam from being propagated around the internet from infected computers. Click OK.

CLick Finish
